The Symone French Friend Club is a writers round experience presented by The Peoples Room of Mobile and hosted by Mobile’s very own, Symone French. Featuring an all-female lineup of writers from across the Southeast, The Symone French Friend Club seeks to highlight women in music while sharing the stories behind the songs. For this installment of the Friend Club, French is joined by Aybil (Memphis, TN), Rebecca Egeland (Birmingham, AL) and Chloé Marie (New Orleans, LA).

Memphis born singer-songwriter Aybil relishes the art of a well told story. In 2020, Aybil made their debut with the single Jordan Poole, a personal, haunting melody about war and addiction. Aybil has since released several projects pulling on traditional gospel, 60s folk/pop and hip-hop influences.
