WAMA announces its first-annual Firefly Supper!

This event is a celebration of the culinary and visual arts in Mississippi. Join us beneath the live oaks for a cocktail hour featuring the sultry sounds of Symone French (5:30-6:30pm set). Indulge in exclusively crafted cocktails and hors d'oeuvres as you leisurely stroll through the grounds. Afterward, take a moment to cool down in the galleries and explore our Silent Auction, showcasing works by some of the South’s most celebrated artists!

Attendees will enjoy an artfully crafted meal while surrounded by the breathtaking murals of Walter Anderson in the Ocean Springs Community Center. Six spectacular chefs from across the state present four courses, featuring the aromas and flavors of exquisite Southern cuisine. Chefs for the evening include Nick Wallace, Vishwesh Bhatt, Alex Perry, Kumi Omori, Michael Paoletti, and Stephanie Paoletti who will be working together to create a dinner that is sure to delight your senses. Wine pairings will be provided with each course and, naturally, a cup of chicory to round off dessert.

This event is held to support the Museum’s mission to empower lifelong curiosity and connection to the natural world through the art of Walter Anderson and kindred artists. Funds from the event will be used to support the Museum’s educational programming, preserve its collections, and put on world-class exhibitions celebrating the art and identity of the region.
